Even thought they mention all these restaurants they only actually only have 1 buffet opened the same every day and only opens at 12.30-2:30 so if you have kids that need to eat earlier, or snack in afternoon it’s frustrating. Long lines waiting for the buffet to open and long lines for hot fresh food during the small window. Everyone is on top of you grabbing food. Limited foods available. There is a 24 hour snack bar at the beach but just burgers/ hot dogs/ pizza/ fries that sit there in the sun all day. Again if you have small children, nothing for them to eat there, no fruit no nothing until buffet opens. They also have no kids pool like advertised. 2 are 4 foot+ and 1 small jacuzzi that is not on. (This is not a kids pool but advertised as a kids pool) Hotel is poorly maintained and very run down. Rooms are good. Sewer smell often all over. Staff is not really friendly. Don’t bother, go to a kids hotel if you have small children. Beach is perfect and the only reason this resort is running. Entertainment is good too but very late shows for the kids who need to go to bed early. Casa de Campo is visually beautiful, but service and value did not match the price. Check-in required a 25+ minute wait for a “concierge check-in”, while 2 front desk agents remained unoccupied, yet there was no meaningful property overview or proactive assistance. The room was standard at best and consistently humid. We had booked expecting a hot tub, but only select rooms in another section section of the resort have them. Even after a partial adjustment through Expedia, the value was not there. The main pool shows visible wear, and overall upkeep does not reflect a luxury rate. Concierge service lacked initiative. When restaurants were full, we had to prompt alternatives. There was also confusion about what our stay included, despite the high rate, it covered no meals or experiences, only the room and a golf cart. Dining was good overall. Breakfast at Lago stood out thanks to Jael, who delivered the only truly five-star service we experienced. The property and golf course are beautiful, but service precision, clarity, and overall value fall short of true luxury standards.
